TpT Ribbon Cutting

We are finally having a little time to breathe since we began our 1st Grade Journey! Every day has been an adventure and we have learned so much this year! We are loving 1st grade!!! Room Makeovers

After finding out we were moving down from 2nd & 3rd grade, we decided to makeover our rooms to get ready for our adventure into first grade.  We call it "PBJazzing". First we decided on a theme.  PB loves trains, and J loves polka dots.  Then we selected color schemes.  PB went with blue, red, green, and yellow.  J selected pink, lime green, purple, teal, and brown.  With these critical decisions made, the hard work began.  We bought the paint (ourselves, of course) and painted the rooms from top to bottom. Our rooms began as basic white on top and gray on bottom.  Below are pics from PB's room in the painting phase.  Notice we also painted our bulletin boards.

J painted her room green and then a solid brown stripe all the way around. To achieve the polka dot look she simply added polka dot stickers found at you guessed it?.... Dollar Tree :)

Lakeshore Outlet

Being as we LOVE cute games Lakeshore is one of our FAVORITE school supply stores. We live about 3 hours from the closest Lakeshore. However, that has never stopped us from driving down for a girls' day trip. Their things are amazing. We recently found out that Lakeshore has two outlets in the U.S. They are both in California. J and her husband just happened to be going to LA over spring break. So of course she made a special trip to the outlet. ...

.....Not wanting to be disappointed, I kept an open mind and thought it wouldn't be anything special. Boy was I wrong. It was absolutely amazing. The Lakeshore had a normal size store attached to the warehouse. All the prices were 40-75% off! I would gladly make a trip out to CA just to go back. The only thing that would have made it better is if PB could have been with me. My husband just didn't understand why I was so excited. We bought so much we had to get a new suitcase to bring our fantastic bargains home. I'm attaching pictures so you can enjoy the view as well!! If you're in the area do yourself a favor and stop by!

Moving to 1st Grade

We are two teachers who have quickly become great friends. I'm J and I have taught for 4 years and my partner in crime (PB) has been teaching 18 years. We just found out we're being moved to 1st grade TOGETHER next year. We could not be more excited to be together and in 1st grade! We decided to track our entire journey. More to follow very soon!
